THE NHQB
The New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) is an independent organisation governing the quality of new-build homes and the customer service provided by developers.
They oversee the New Homes Quality Code (NHQC) - a code of practice designed to raise standards, improve transparency, and give homeowners better protection throughout their home-buying journey.
WHAT THE NHQB MEANS TO YOU
Under the NHQC, you gain:
-
Stronger rights as a new-build purchaser
-
Clearer expectations from developers
-
Increased build-quality checks
-
Protection during - and after - handover
-
Independent support from the NEW Homes Ombudsman Service (NHOS)
If you are purchasing from a Registered Developer, you are protected by these enhanced standards.
Castle Snagging Inspections works closely with NHQB principles to ensure every home is inspected thoroughly, fairly and professionally.
As Technical Members of the Residential Property Surveyors Association (RPSA), our inspections follow recognised professional surveying standards alongside NHQB guidance.
